The projector has a nifty keystoning feature that automatically corrects the warped image. It can neatly hold the projector, remote, power brick, and other accessories. Easy to lug around as it weighs only as much as three smartphones.Pros:Good picture quality, compact size, easy to set up and a optomaplethora of connectivity options. But, since the resolution is capped at WXGA 1280 x 800, going over 60-inch makes picture quite pixelated. Since the PS4 lacks Bluetooth audio out, the audio would route through the projector and end up on a connected Bluetooth speaker. It is not easily noticeable when watching movies, but you could see hazy red or blue flashes around the moving objects while playing games. It can also connect to a laptop or gaming console via the HDMI port. The only gripe here is the lack of uniformity in the sharpness.

It would have been a killer product, had Optoma opted for Full HD native resolution. So, you have to rely on third-party Aptoid store. So, I would suggest sticking with external speakers whenever possible. Just turn it on, and you can start playing videos right from the build in media player. At the bottom, you get a kickstand, tripod thread, and a downward firing speaker. But, if you are watching it from 12 feet away, going up to an 80-inch screen is not a bad idea. Its biggest strength, however, is the incredibly easy setup and a myriad of connectivity and playback options. The video feed would go from PS4 to the projector.ConnectivityThe ML330 comes with an HDMI port, 3.Rating: If you are a movie buff, nothing beats a cinema hall. The company hasn caster wheels Factory taken any efforts to enhance the aesthetics. When you require, it plays HD movies in 16:9 ratio without a problem. Last but not the least, there's Bluetooth to hook it up with wireless speakers. And anyway, many of my favourite movies and TV series such as Office Space, Pan's Labyrinth, Family Guy are not available on Netflix India or Prime Video.

It is quite compact, but not enough to qualify as a pico projector.SetupSetting up the ML330 is incredibly easy. If you pay attention, there’s a noticeable difference between the sharpness in the centre and around the corners of the projected image. There's an RJ45 ethernet port, but you are unlikely to use it thanks to the Wi-Fi support. If you are not an average joe who likes to watch cable TV, then you should seriously consider buying this projector to enjoy movies on a big screen. It can play clips from pen drives or microSD cards # without an issue. Out of the two, one even supports USB 3. To put things in perspective, the ML330 is smaller than an 8-inch tablet and thicker than a pizza box. This is exactly what Optoma is set to change with its ML330 projector.VerdictThe Optoma ML330 is a compact projector easy to lug around. It has screen aspect ratio of 16:10. Unfortunately, good projectors have been quite expensive and a pain to set up. Overall, the projector's build quality is good, the plastic material could have had a better finish. The projector offers superior contrast and colours. As a result, you get more compact projectors. For those looking for precision, the projector measures 157 mm (l) x 133 mm (w) x 35 mm (d) and weighs 460 grams. You can project up to a whopping 120-inch screen. I hooked it up with my PS4 and wireless speakers under five minutes.

I found myself using the pen drive playback option more than streaming services. For those not in the know, as opposed to LCD projectors, in which light passes through glass panels, DLP relies on a chip comprises of thousands of tiny mirrors. The ML330 won't catch your eye in understated grey. The sound output is nothing to write home about. Sure, these smart features add a value, but using them with a bundled remote controller is cumbersome. That makes it ideal for business presentations where you cannot blackout a room. Optoma claims that it can clock in 20,000 hours. The projector is also prone to the rainbow effect. The picture quality is quite good. Apart from the branding, the top houses capacitive keys to control the projector. To avoid any confusion, WXGA has slightly more pixels than HD. A bunch of connectors are placed on the back. Then, there are more vents on the sides along with a power button and a dial to fine tune the focus. Another advantage is relatively better contrast. The ML330 has a utilitarian design. The ML330 has two built-in 2W speakers. As mentioned already, the brightness levels are good too.Cons:Weak speaker and smart features are cumbersome. Priced at Rs 38,490, it costs slightly more than a 42-inch TV from a good brand. Since it also comes in handy for presentations, bill it to your office. It does, however, lack Google services. I must say that these elaborate connectivity options are very useful. Backed by DLP tech, it offers bright picture and good contrast.PerformanceThe ML330 is based on DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology.

Features The projector is based on Android platform so you can download apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and start streaming content. The front houses a lens and vents. The bag is quite sturdy, which minimises the possibility of damage during your trips. What’s even better is your own cinema hall where you don't have to put up with the crowd. Having said that, Full HD native resolution would have been a great addition. It uses LED, known for its long life. At 500 lumens, the ML330 is quite bright for its size.0 standards. Again, most people won’t notice it. But, is it a good investment for you?DesignThe Optoma ML330 comes with an impressive carry bag.5 mm audio jack, microSD card slot, and two USB ports.(source). Mostly, because it was easy to use.

Kudos to all the participants".Sharing her thoughts on the association with TechGig Geek Goddess, Ruchika Panesar, Head - Technology, American Express India said, “It is overwhelming to see women coders turn up in huge numbers for this iconic event.TechGig Geek Goddess 2018 is presented by American Express, a globally integrated payments company. TechGig Geek Goddess serves as the cornerstone of our strategy to embrace diversity and at the same time encourage other industry organisations to recognise and utilise the abundant potential of these talented women. As a fellow female in technology, I am encouraged to see the active participation and embrace the vision to strengthen our national workforce by fostering more women engineers. Going by the participation level in this edition, Machine Learning is the most popular skill with women technologists. As many as 70% of women surveyed claimed that gender bias existed in their organisation. We are proud to be associated with this flagship event, aimed at bringing the women tech gurus of our industry to the forefront and showcasing their technology prowess."In its fourth edition, TechGig Geek Goddess 2018 has received a remarkable response so far. Some of the popular programming languages this year are C, C++, Java and Python. Presently, TechGig Geek Goddess 2018 edition is underway with more than 68,000+ registrations. These findings again reinforce that Diversity and Inclusion programs need to be a top priority at all organisations. More than 80% of women respondents in the survey revealed that they have a formal education/degree in Computer Science, and still, less than 10% women were in senior management positions. Even at the team lead level, the representation of women was poor with just 13% survey respondents occupying this position. Among these, Machine Learning emerged as the most popular skill based on the number of registrations. To probe the on-ground situation at the corporate floors, TechGig – India’s largest online technology community - recently conducted the ‘Gender Diversity Survey 2018’.Platforms like TechGig Geek Goddess are a step in that direction with an aim to provide the right environment and career advancement opportunities for women technologists.

The survey results re-established that the road to the top is extremely difficult for women technologists. I’m happy to mention that quite in line with all our previous editions we have seen a surge in the number of registrations and submissions this year.”Shubha Iyer, a Managing Director in Technology at Goldman Sachs Bengaluru said, “At Goldman Sachs we share a passion to build an ecosystem to support women in technology and have aligned our efforts through an array of programs dedicated to ‘Women in Engineering’. India’s Silicon Valley Bengaluru is presently leading the race with the maximum participants, closely followed by Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune. Way to go, ladies!

Our best wishes are with you," said Ramathreya Krishnamurthi, Business Head, TimesJobs and TechGig.  Goldman Sachs, a global investment bank and active investor in India, is the title sponsor of TechGig Geek Goddess 2018. This bolsters the fact that women programmers are second to none when it comes to experimenting with new technologies. The under-representation of women employees, especially in the technology domain, China rubber wheels has always been a major concern with most industry players.”Sanjay Goyal, Vice President and Product and Technology Head at TimesJobs and TechGig said, “It's heartening to see such enthusiastic participation at TechGig Geek Goddess 2018.Other than the main coding contest, this edition also hosted two theme-based hackathons, namely IoT Hackathon and Machine Learning Hackathon.

Unfittingly, it never made it to the final story on “India’s Leaders” (May 27, 1946), published by LIFE. Along with political history, two internationally leading photographers, Margret Bourke-White and Henri Cartier-Bresson, played a key role in immortalising the towering figure of Gandhi through their sharp images.

Her permission to have a photograph of Gandhi spinning the wheel was granted by his secretary, Pyarelal Nayyar, only on a condition if she would be ready to learn the art of spinning that required focus and patience. In an effort to give a visual narration to the movement of Swaraj, the image frames the moment of spinning the cotton by Gandhi. .The history of India caster wheels Manufacturers  struggle to freedom is synonymous with Gandhi, but the 1947 Partition had left him in deep despair. It had also put the theory of two-nation into reality by carving Pakistan, the Muslim dominant nation born out of India Subcontinent. In 1946 White paid a visit to India to document the lives of Indian leaders. It was only after Gandhi’s assassination, the image’s impending significance was realised, “the spinning wheel as a symbol for India’s struggle for independence”, to find a space in the pages of the LIFE with a photo-essay.

The fervent uproar against the British rule in Indian Subcontinent caught the attention of the international media. On January 12, 1948, Gandhi announced the hunger strike to protest against the riots between Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. Besides, spearheading the movement of freedom, the principles of satyagraha and ahimsa had made Gandhi an iconic figure of anti-colonialism worldwide. Sen this time escorted White to the doors and assured she does not return to the premises. While her films were exposed to the light, Hannah Sen requested White to leave the room. One of these publications was widely circulated and read American magazine LIFE by Henry LuceAfter the disaster of World War II, the eventuality of decolonisation was reduced to a matter of time. When it comes to the assassination of Gandhi, Indian history is replete with long and thick political accounts of what led to his killing on the ill-fated day of January 30, 1948.The news of Gandhi’s assassination met the pull of demands and desires of the print media across the globe to cover the story not just as a routine exercise, but saw it as an opportune moment to express solidarity with the newly independent nation found in mourning at the monumental loss of Mahatma Gandhi.White’s famous image of Gandhi and the spinning wheel was shot during her first trip to India. It was never a cakewalk for White to translate her professional demands into a reality, especially when it came to photographing Gandhi. Unassumingly, she returned with a reloaded camera only to aggravate the situation. Since the light was not very comfortable to Gandhi’s eyes, he dubbed her “the torturer”.Under the non-cooperation movement, foreign goods were strongly boycotted. For Gandhi’s followers, her flashlight was seen as a sign of disrespect when White switched on the flashbulb to capture Gandhi’s mortals, kept for darshan, in the room of Birla House.

It was no surprise, White, the first female photographer for LIFE, made frequent visits to India from 1946 to 1948 to unflinching document modern Indian history in making from colonial days to 1947 # Partition and finally Gandhi’s assassination.Flash at darshanThe use of flash by Bourke-White had been a troublesome issue for Gandhi and his devotees.India stood strong as the jewel in the crown of the British Empire that gained freedom at the midnight of August 14-15, 1947 from the British Empire. Once she agreed, the staff sanctioned her request to take the photograph, which unfolds a moment of self-reliance by the revered Gandhi. The image is captioned “sitting cross-legged between his spinning wheel and his low desk, Mahatma Gandhi exemplified the virtues of simplicity that he preached”.

Bresson’s image of Gandhi’s visit to the nylon wheels shrine on January 27, 1948 highlights his ideas of communal harmony and inclusivity. To control the large numbers of mourners that led to frenzy police was deployed at the site of the funeral. I cannot continue…. It documents the overwhelming account of Gandhi’s funeral and walks through the endless journey undertaken by his followers. Shot a day before Gandhi’s assassination, the photograph plays with silhouettes to represent the complexity an ascetic’s life – comfortably heard of but difficult to practice.”A sadhu’s life of abstinenceIt was never easy for Gandhi to make a transition from the life of a professional lawyer to a Hindu sadhu living the life of abstinence.  He shared his thoughts, “Several days ago I had heard that it might not be possible to hold the Urs at Mehrauli I as in the previous years,” he said, “Had it been so I would have been deeply distressed. Indian leaders including Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhai Patel, Gandhi's secretary Brij Krishen and Lord Mountbatten with his daughter stood strong as they prepare for Gandhi’s last rites. To put his agenda at the forefront he mentioned, “It (fast) will end when and if I am satisfied that there is a reunion of hearts of all communities”.The wide range of sixteen black and white photographs capturing the frail demeanour of Gandhi in his last days, Indian leaders and grieving devotees in large numbers irrespective of their gender and caste paying homage to Gandhi, extend invitation to the viewers to take a look at the social fabric of India. As the news of Gandhi's demise reached them, they rushed to Birla House to capture the last glimpse of his mortals. Many decades later, virtually leafing through the photo-essay by White and Bresson in its archival form, does not fail to resonate with the viewers. Before visiting the shrine as a symbol of solidarity with the Muslim community, Gandhi pleaded, “I yearn for heart friendship between Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims”.

Since the celebrations were a few days away, the first demand on the list stated “complete freedom of worship to Muslims at the tomb of Khwaja Qutub-ud-Din Bakhtiar and non-interference with the celebration of the Urs.The presence of Bresson at the event prompted LIFE’s editors to call Magnum requesting the first right to his images for publication. The photograph works around sunlight and shadow of a winter morning where Gandhi is sitting under a shade and projects left hand in sunlight as a sign of reassurance. Unknowingly, the curious on-looker strikes a chord with the inconsolable mourners captured in it.  Little did they know that the photo-essay would be an incisive case study on the visual documentation of Gandhi’s funeral. The men perched atop the lamppost risk their life to have a last glimpse of Gandhi before his body was consigned to the funeral pyre, devouts collect the soil moistens with his blood and ashes as the holy relics. I do not want to continue in darkness and in madness. The duration of the fast was a concern for the devotees. When White asked “Why”, he added, “because of the terrible things happening in the world.Assassination  The assassination of Gandhi by Nathuram Godse was anchored by the anguish felt by the Hindu nationalists who saw him as a promoter of peace between Hindus and Muslims.

White followed the cortege, what she termed it as a “human stream” that turned into a “might river, miles long and miles wide,” in a car with her assistants. Gandhi who has once hoped to live for 125 years, in his last interview with White, published along with the photo-essay “Gandhi Joins the Hindu Immortals” for LIFE (February 16, 1948), have him foresee his death when he said, “I have lost that hope”. Given his age, the endless fast could have been fatal.Visiting a shrineGiven the tense situation in the post-partition days, the festivities of Urs at the Muslim shrine of Khwaja Kutub-ud-Din Bakhtiar in Mehrauli seemed less plausible. It was an unprecedented collaboration between White and Bresson for the photo-essay.”Both White and Bresson were not present at the time of Gandhi's assassination.”The sect leaders guaranteed peace and cooperation during Urs. Another photograph by Bresson shows his back resting on a plump bolster, face towards a visitor with placed objects such as glass water bottle and metal basin.

Photography does not cease at the productions of the multitude of frames on the event, it is a careful craft that takes into account how posterity would read a photograph, separated by time and distance, yet drawing familiarity with the historical context of the event. On January 31, 1948 Bresson was walking along the procession through Old Delhi and standing at the funeral ground to give his last tribute to Gandhi, by doing what he did best - photographs. White captured the last rites of Gandhi for her official publication LIFE, only it was sooner realised that her photographs fell short of the personal connection and intimacy.. He shared a list of demands through his representative on the fifth day of the fast and maintained if all ethnic leaders would send their agreement in writing, he would be happy to break his fast. For the editors at LIFE Bresson’s body of work offered scale and traced the roots and routes of the chaos and pain at the eventful day.

Passengers at the rear are treated to dedicated air-vents with a two-stage blower, though. When you step inside, the first thing you wonder about is if this really is a sub-4m SUV. This time around it is the Nexon that has arrived late to the compact SUV party, but it makes a very fashionable entrance and hopes to change our expectations of brand Tata. Concept CrazeAs you can see only the show-car bits like the LED headlamps and cameras that were used instead of ORVMs have been replaced.

Improper shut lines, scratchy panels and the loose console for the power window adjustment on the cars were disappointing. We expect the Nexon to be made available in four variants for both engine options.  On the Nexon, the 8-speaker Harman sound system uses four amps to charge up a pair of speakers! And the sound is rich!  The cabin of the Nexon strikes you to be more impressive than its rivals too. For two, the smartly scooped out backseat is going to feel like a treat.  In terms of resolution and brightness alone, the new 6.Tata Motors may have arrived late to some of the buzziest segments in the Indian car market, but with each successive launch Tata has made a bigger splash. Especially if you start from the second row. Three-abreast? Sure, sort of. Thankfully, the front doors get full-size bottle holders and the party trick here is an umbrella holder. The Nexon’s best angle has to be the profile; it looks sleek and sporty, but tough. Still, it looks like a well-balanced design. The face wears a look we have seen on newer Tatas, although the large flared headlamps add a new twist. It looks crisp and is legible even in bright sunlight. The bumper looks chunky and is actually integrated into the tail gate! Don’t worry though, as the bumps and scrapes will be tackled by the tough grey plastic section that juts out a bit from underneath. This takes some time to get things cooled as this unit picks up the air from the side of the floor mounted unit and shoots it out towards you. But the second row splits and folds flat to give you lots of flexibility to carry passengers and luggage.5 inch colour display is a big upgrade over units seen in Tatas before. At 1607mm, the Nexon won’t stand as tall as its Japanese and American competition, but the 209mm of ground clearance, when unladen, has it standing well clear off the ground.

Its 2498mm wheelbase is almost as much as the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, but smaller than the Fords EcoSport. As a tribute to the Indian sub-continent, there is a lioness and a cub on the rear windscreen, and as if to make a point, there’s a tiger in the large glove box too! Do numbers lie?Apparently, they do.In terms of design, the steering wheel and instrument cluster are familiar, but the restrained dash design, the colours and the infotainment screen propped up on the dash make the Nexon look like a European luxury car!The highlight of the infotainment system has to be the sheer genius of mounting physical control buttons that are mounted under the aircon vents at the centre. Under a cool rolling shutter, officially known as the Tambour sliding door, are two shallow cup holders, which will be impossible to use because the opening is narrow and the bin is deep. The Nexon, like its competitors, is just under four metres long, but at 1811mm the Nexon is the widest. The umbrella, though, needs to be a short one and requires force to be wedged in.There are some ergonomic gaffes as well. The really dramatic part of the design has to be the rear. The white sash that runs along the window line is a signature element, but the finish isn’t slick enough. The interface also prefers it if you use these buttons, responding in a properly snappy manner; poke a finger at the screen and the response is just a bit reluctant. Inside it are LED DRLs and projector lamps but there are no LED headlamps here. The Nexon gets a flip-up tailgate, which gives you easy access to the 350-litre boot which is not class leading. But it is clear that Impact design language is infusing a distinct flavour into Tata products.  So that means the Nexon carries on with the swoopy crossover stance. The plush switches for the power windows and well-damped stalks for wipers and indicators add to the experience.

With the power of brand new engines, more features and a design that is meant to wow, it makes a whole-hearted attempt at tempting you away from the competition. We cast iron wheels re nitpicking, but the cushioning could've been firmer and set a bit higher for better under-thigh support. But, as you look closely, the way it comes together doesn’t inspire too much faith.  Seating six-footers? No problem! The coupe like roofline shouldn’t foul with turbans either. It is wide enough to accommodate three, but the middle occupant will have to deal with a shorter seat base and a protruding backrest. Overall, the Nexon is a sporty looking machine that might not win SUV lovers who want a traditional and square design. The white sash continues to flow in here and wraps around the diced tail lamps that pack smooth LED lamps. Surprising? Very! There’s plenty of room for long shanks too. Fabric for door pads, the glossy silver panel on the dash and the textured plastic for the dash top look good and feel solid too. For instance, the Nexon has a few wild secrets too. The introduction of plug-and-play connectivity with smartphones via Android Auto is very welcome, while Apple CarPlay will be integrated by the time of launch. For instance, to get to the USB port will require dainty hands.

The finish of # the white band is much better here as it is made out of metal, whereas it is in a special plastic design at the side. The way the grey colour roof swoops down like a coupe, contrasts with the rugged plastic rub-strips. . These shortcut keys and dials fall easily to hand and allow you to navigate through the menu easily, reducing the need to take your eyes off the road. The Nexon’s reversing camera’s resolution isn’t all that crisp, however, you do get bending guidelines to make reversing easier.  But, what is the Nexon really like? We spent a day with the petrol and diesel variants of the Tata Nexon to get some answers. The chunky 215/60 R16 tyres that peek out at all four corners give it a very confident stance.
